Press Release Woodsongs  BIO Images

Walden: The Ballad of Thoreau

The two act, four character play is a conversation between Thoreau and Emerson set during the final two days Thoreau spent in his cabin before leaving Walden Pond. Over 7,100 colleges and schools have already performed the play. Now we want to send it nationwide on Public TV, Public Radio, Movie Theaters plus online with lesson plans into thousands of schools across North America.

In an age of global warming, bio-fuels,
hybrid cars and oil wars the
Walden play can introduce audiences to
Thoreau as well as environmental concerns
in their own home towns.

Coming November 18-20, 2008:

Be part of the Theater audience at the restored Opera House in Lexington, Ky as the Walden play is performed onstage in front of a thousand people, filmed as a high-def Public TV broadcast, recorded for public radio, streamed into thousands of schools in north America then shown in movie theaters as an Earth Day 2009 Special Event.
