"When Persinger headed to the studio to record the five songs for "Just a Voice," he was surrounded by an all-star cast of back-up musicians; including KENNY ARONOFF, along with bassist TOBY MYERS, both of whom have worked extensively with John Mellencamp, and JASON WILBER, lead-guitarist for John Prine’s touring band.
The EP was recorded at Echo Park studios in Bloomington, owned by Mike Wanchic, long-time guitarist for Mellencamp. Persinger said working with Aronoff, Wilber, and Myers was quite an experience." -Jackson County Banner
