Like The Wailers and The Skatalites, The Gladiators are one of the very few original reggae bands to not only survive but succeed over the decades, one of the rare Jamaican groups that are actually a great band.
The unique sound of The Gladiators started with Albert Griffiths, rising from poverty in Trench Town with "Hello Carol" topping the Jamaican chart in 1968.
The Gladiators continue with the "Father and Sons" album. Faithful to their roots delivering reggae music full of heart, force and courage. Featuring Albert Griffiths' two sons, Anthony on drums and Al on lead vocals ("virtually indistinguishable from his father").
The Gladiators have recently garnered tremendous response touring throughout Europe, Brazil, the South Pacific and Australia to as many as 70,000 fans in mostly sold-out shows.
